Music
////////

After years of wanting to make my own music, I finally committed to learning at the tail end of April 2024. Learning has been super rewarding! I can't wait to see what progress I make in the future as I continue to learn.

For now, this page hosts the soundtracks I've created for a handful of my smaller free game projects.

Mini Berry Dream Soundtrack
(2024)

Rounding out my music-related projects for my first calander year of committing to learning music. Most of this music was just a product of experimentation and was fit into the game after.
The game itself is very small and most of the tracks are much longer than you'll actually need to hear them in game.

My favourite track:
World 1

Blibby vs The Aliens Soundtrack
(2024)

Initially created for a solo 2 week gamejam, I added a couple extra songs in the 1.1 update:
  • Forest which was initially created just as a practice track, but I liked it so much I felt it was destined to be included in a game.
  • Space Castle B which was originally just meant to be a quick remix of Space Castle A, but it became a totally unqiue thing.

I'm still very happy with this soundtrack! While it isn't perfect, I think it really shows my progress over my first few months of learning.

My favourite track:
Forest

│ ■ │ Soundtrack
(2024)

│ ■ │ was developed as a duo effort between myself and sirmilkman, with myself handling art and music. Developed during the week following LXD, though both of us really only had a few days to work on it due to travelling at the same time.
The limited time combined with still being exhausted from developing LXD meant the music ended up very rushed and a bit repetitive. Regardless of rushing I still dig the first area theme, which was made last.

My favourite track:
World 1

LXD :: Red Honey Soundtrack
(2024)

LXD :: Red Honey was developed as a duo effort between myself and Andrew. Developed over the course of 18 days, shortly after TIVT.
Alongside sharing the roles of art, design, and programming, I did all of the music and audio for the game.
There are a few tracks here that I don't really like, but also others I'm still quite happy with.

My favourite track:
Red

TIVT Soundtrack
(2024)

My first time making music for my project!
Having only started learning music 2 weeks prior, and developing the game completely solo in 4 days, there are definitely a few issues with the music.

My original goal for the game was 2 areas with 2 unique music tracks, which I managed to scope creep into 5 areas and 5 tracks by the end of the jam (though the last 2 tracks are remixes of the first 2).

My favourite track:
Powerlines
